Synchronization for PDA and Blackberry
Synchronization for PDA and Blackberry "AbacusLaw seamlessly integrates with my PDA (either Palm or Windows) and allows me to carry my calendar and contact list wherever I go. I can even make entries in the PDA and sync them into the AbacusLaw database, billing them at the same time." J. David Outtrim, Esq.
Synch your PDA with AbacusLaw
AbacusLaw allows you to synchronize your calendar and contacts to your PDA so you never have to be without your important data again. AbacusLaw also lets you synchronize as many PDA's as you have licensed users, meaning everyone can take their data with them.
Synchronizing your AbacusLaw data to your PDA is as simple as pushing a button
Install the Companion Link software provided on your AbacusLaw installation CD and configure the options that suit you. Then, each time you want to synch your PDA, simply hit the synch button. It's that easy! Your AbacusLaw data is converted to the PDA format, so appointments and contacts show up just as they would if you were to enter them on the device itself. Companion Link supports Exchange server with Abacus 2008.
Compatible PDA devices:
AbacusLaw is compatible with the Palm OS, Pocket PC Outlook , Windows CE 3.0 , Windows CE 2.0, 2.1 and Windows Mobile 5.0. These include most varieties of PDA's available.

Blackberry operating system requirements: The following versions 4.1, 4.2 &4.3.
Summary of AbacusLaw synchronization for all hand held devices
With the Companion Link program, there are a number of different synch methods for Abacus customers.
Outlook
Abacus can synch to all versions of Microsoft Outlook. This includes versions we do not support through our Outlook link with the Abacus program. With the Outlook synch, you can synch to either a local PST folder or a Exchange OST folder. With the current version of AbacusLaw (v18), you can also synch to your personal Outlook Exchange file on your network server.
Palm PDA
This is the direct synch between Abacus and a Palm PDA. We currently support pre-v6 Palm Desktop, though we recommend v4.1.4 as this is supported under MS Vista.
Palm Desktop
As with the Palm PDA synch, use non-v6 versions of the Palm Desktop.
Windows Mobile
For handhelds with the Windows Mobile 5, 6 and users with the older Windows CE operating system on their handhelds, use the full version of Outlook installed on your PC. (The synch process is not designed for Outlook Express.)
Blackberry
With older Blackberry's that came with Blackberry's desktop version 4.3 and earlier, Abacus can synch to those units directly. For Blackberry's that use a Desktop higher then v4.3 we use the Outlook synch, using the full version of Outlook.
Phone
First, synch Abacus to the full version of Outlook, then synch that through iTunes to Outlook.
Symbian OS's (such as the Google phone)
This operating system will also synch between itself and Outlook. Abacus then synchs through the Outlook.
